Jewellery

Participants need to bring pencils and paper.  Copper and brass and a maximum of 15 grams of silver will be supplied.  If the participant requires additional silver they will be charged at the current market value.  If you wish to use gold please contact the tutor two weeks in advance to place an order or bring your own gold along to the course.  Old gold and silver jewellery can be recycled into new jewellery.  You will need 15 grams.  Gemstones will be available for sale from the tutor.  Participants who wish to supply their own stones are advised to keep the object between 5-10 mm in size.

Course Objectives:

  1. Learn the techniques used in Jewellery fabrication.
  2. Design your project.
  3. Construct the project.
  4. Polish and chase the ring to a high level of finish.
