Pottery

Working with clay is a wonderful antidote to a hard day’s work.  Come along and join students who share ideas and enjoy the company of others.  These classes are open to all levels and cover a variety of basic techniques in hand and wheel work, glaze application and firing.  The course fee includes: clay, use of kiln (pots fired by tutor), maintenance of kiln, some stains and oxides, glaze, use of wheels, moulds and clay extruder and some basic pottery tools.

Course Objectives:

  1. Gain confidence in working with clay.
  2. Explore a variety of techniques to create different effects.
