  3. Corridor movement
    (a) Keep left in single file. Running is not permitted. Walk quietly without stopping.

    (b) Move by shortest route from one classroom to another. If moving from ground floor to first floor, use the FIRST stairway you come to. If waiting outside classroom stand quietly in single row against wall on room side of corridor.

    (e) You are permitted to visit corridor lockers before and after school and at lunchtime and interval

    (f) The corridor outside the Staffroom is not to be used during staff meetings - 8.35 - 8.50 am.

    NO PUPIL SHOULD BE IN CORRIDORS DURING ANY TEACHING PERIOD WITHOUT HAVING A CLASSROOM LEAVE PASS.

  4. Outside Areas

    Pupils must not loiter around boundary fences or gateways at intervals or lunchtimes. 

    Staff car parks are strictly out of bounds.

    Local shops are out of bounds at intervals and lunch times.

  5. Interval and Lunchtime inside areas

    Lunch can be eaten in the café or outside. No food is to be eaten at any times in the corridors. Lunch areas must be left tidy with furniture in place. No lunching in cloakrooms, toilets, corridors or other classrooms.

  6. Lunch passes

    Only students who live in the Gore township and who regularly go home for lunch are eligible for lunch pass. Application forms may be obtained from the office. They are part of the student ID card system. Students who do not have lunch passes must obtain a leave pass if they are leaving the school at lunchtime. These may be obtained from Mrs Barron or Mr Grogan.

  7. Sickness

    Report to school office.

    (a) Pupils must not leave school on account of injury or illness without FIRST reporting to Mrs Barron or Mr Grogan or Mrs Hamilton or the school office.

    (b) Pupils needing prescribed tablets at school should notify Mr Grogan.

  8. Lost property

    (a) ALL property brought to school must be clearly named.

    (b) Report losses or items found to the Deputy Principal immediately.

    (c) VALUABLES AND MONEY should be left at the office for safe keeping.

    (d) Radios/walkmen etc must not be brought to school. 

  9. Emergency exits

    Notices are posted in all rooms. Pupils should make themselves aware of procedure for all areas of the school.

    (a) The warning is continuous ringing of the school bell.

    (b) Follow the instructions of your teacher, moving quietly (not running). Wait in an orderly manner at allocated assembly area until instructed to disperse.

    (c) Roll Monitors take Roll Book. Leave other books in room.

  10. Absences

    (a) After absence for any reason you must bring a note from a parent or caregiver. Hand this note to your Form Teacher on the day of your return to school.

    (b) If leave is needed for any reason then parents must write a note requesting such leave from the Rector, Deputy Principal or Assistant Principal before leave is taken.

    (c) No pupil may be away from school grounds during the day without a leave pass from the Deputy Principal or Assistant Principal. This includes lunch times for those who do not qualify for a lunch pass.

    (d) A pass may be obtained from the main office for dental or medical appointments.

  11. Transport

    (a) No cars or motor cycles to be brought to school without written authority from parents (special form available from office). This is to be approved before the car is brought to school. The completed transport form is to be returned to the school office and your licence is to be produced for inspection. A new form needs to be completed for each year.

    (b) No pupil may travel to or from school in a car or on a motor cycle driven by another pupil without the school having received written authority from both sets of parents (form available from office).

    (c) At no time during the school day is anyone to be away in a car unless a leave pass has been obtained from Mrs Barron or Mrs Hamilton or Mr Grogan

  12. Wednesdays

    On Wednesdays school will finish at 2.25pm. The bell times are slightly different for the Wed afternoon with a shorter SSR time. There may be cultural rehearsals and sports practices held at this time. All bus pupils will be expected to stay at school unless they have made alternative arrangements with their parents. Supervision will be provided for any students who wish to stay at school.

  13. Cell phones

    The school accepts no responsibility for cell phones lost at school. If parents consider it essential for their child to carry a cell phone for use after school this must be switched off and out of sight during school hours (8.50 am – 3.20 pm). Any student found using a cell phone during the school day will have it confiscated for 24 hrs. If it is the second time a student has used the phone during school time the phone will be confiscated for 48 hours. If a phone is confiscated three times within a school year, it will be confiscated for a week and the parents will be asked to come and collect it at the end of that time.
